Performed by star dancer Hugo Marchand and dancer Caroline Osmont of the Paris Opera, accompanied by Juha Marsalo of the . With the music of René Aubry and Philip Glass. World premiere in collaboration with the city of Avignon, Avignon Tourisme and the .

This choreography was built around the works of Jean-Michel Othoniel specially installed on the stage of the Court of Honor of the Palais des Papes d’Avignon. A monumental installation imagined by the sculptor for this extraordinary place. More than 10,000 glass bricks metamorphosing the architecture of the Cour d’Honneur draw a landscape that houses three huge sculptures of mirrored stinex bricks with ghostly shapes.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its designation as European Capital of Culture and the 30th anniversary of its inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city of Avignon has entrusted Jean-Michel Othoniel with investing its emblematic sites and museums, in order to reveal their richness and uniqueness.

The exhibition “OTHONIEL COSMOS or the Ghosts of Love” draws a gigantic monumental route that populates the city’s free institutions and historical sites.
The artist has developed works that will be revealed from one place to another crossing sculpture and painting, bricks and pearls, Astrolabes and fountains, gold and glass, totems and infinite knots.
