Five duets, four dialogues between two dancers on stage – between the dancers and the audience.

For its second edition, Dialogues promises a dreamy evening of Pas de deux by four choreographers who define both the present and the future of contemporary dance.

and Akram Khan

Ballet’s master storyteller Mats Ek has enchanted the world with his precise and truly unique language of movement. In this production, we see a duet from A sort of … – a burlesque reverie in a Magritte-inspired universe. The two dancers originate from the Berlin State Ballet and S-E-D | Dance Company.

With his unique combination of Bangladeshi kathak and contemporary dance, is widely known as one of the most innovative choreographers in the international dance scene. His new work Mud of Sorrow explores the invisible connections that unite us with lost loved ones, memories and the shadows that surround us. The duet is a poetic journey between the visible and invisible, a dialogue between past and present.

Sharon Eyal and Samantha Lynch

Sharon Eyal has a background in the movement language of Gaga and a rare choreographic expression: packed with passion yet utterly distinct. Both alone and together with the live music star Gai Behar, she has created works for major companies around the world, including their own:

This evening we will see their work Into the Hairy – a hairy, sensual and fleeting work where the stage is transformed into an electronic club dance floor, set to music by the artist, producer and composer Koreless.

Up next is ‘s energetic and humorous COUCH – with two dancers and one couch, created for the Norwegian National Ballet in 2023. Lynch debuted as a choreographer with A Boléro on the Main Stage in 2021. Several leading ballet companies have since commissioned work by this National Ballet principal dancer.

Last, but not least

Mats Ek will close the evening with an excerpt from his latest creation, A Cup of Coffee, created for the Swedish Royal Ballet in Stockholm in February 2025, starring the incomparable and Yvan Auzely!
